Over the past five years, teachers across Jamaica have received training in Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and On Cloud Nine through a partnership with Lindamood-Bell and Creative Language-Based Learning (CLBL). 

The partnership was initiated by Mandy Melville, President of CLBL, who experienced the positive results of Lindamood-Bell instruction with her own children. Lindamood-Bell for Schools has supported the partnership through ongoing training and coaching for teachers throughout the country.   

Educator Shavanese Anderson has seen exciting growth in her students who received instruction in the programs. She shared that just 10 days after the start of the program she saw an amazing transformation in the children. “It boosts their confidence to see that they can learn something in such a short time and their learning process is not as lengthy as before,” giving them a sense that “I have promise. I have purpose.”
